In the early 1980s, some University of Tulsa students brought national attention to the school, thanks to their taste in music.

They thought pop music of the 1970s was bad -- so bad that they had to find a way to keep it from being played ever again.

The solution?  Load a jukebox with the worst songs of the '70s then drop it from 100 feet in the air.

Reporter Winifred Washington has the story, from April 23, 1982.
