According to a former Tulsa player, several current players are considering their options as TU searches for a new basketball coach.

"Kodi (Maduka) and Scottie (Haralson) are the only ones that are locked into staying here," the former player said on the condition of anonymity.

He went on to suggest that the other players on the Tulsa roster will transfer to other schools if David Cason is not the Golden Hurricane's next hire.

Cason was an assistant under Wojcik for six seasons at Tulsa including the final three as the associate head coach. He helped the Golden Hurricane to a 123-78 record in that time.

Cason left for an assistant job at Vanderbilt before this past season and helped the Commodores upset top-seeded Kentucky to win the SEC championship and earn a 5-seed in the NCAA tournament.

The former player that first contacted News on 6 said the Tulsa players want Cason back at TU.

"Cason is the only person that could build on success here," he said.

Earlier this week, Jordan Clarkson's father said his son's future was not tied to the University of Tulsa. Clarkson was a Conference USA first-team selection this season after averaging nearly 17 points per game as a sophomore.

The rest of the roster, according to this source, is up in the air as well.
