Tulsa guard Jordan Clarkson was named to the 2012 National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District first team, the group announce Wednesday.
During his sophomore season, Clarkson averaged 16.5 points per game, leading TU to a third-place finish in C-USA play, scoring in double-digits in 28 consecutive games. His scoring average was good enough for second in the league, while hitting 78 percent from the charity stripe.
This is the second big honor for the guard, after being named an All-Conference USA First-team selection, becoming the youngest TU player to earn the award since Shea Seals in 19994-1995. Tulsa has had a player earn this honor in each of the last four seasons, including Justin Hurtt, Ben Uzoh and Jerome Jordan.
