The Oral Roberts pitching staff was lights-out Friday, keeping just one run between three pitchers, finishing off the three-round sweep of Alcorn State University Sunday 12-1.

The Golden Eagles' pitching staff kept the Braves' offense in check, giving up a combined five hits and striking out 11 batters between the three pitchers that saw time. Starter Tim Zufall gave up two hits and one earned run in four innings pitched, coming away with a no-decision for the outing.

Tulsa's offense exploded in the bottom of the eighth, with the big bats coming through to put the game away. In the second at-bat of the inning, Jared Schlehuber hit a two-run home run to take a 3-1 lead with no outs on the board.

Two outs later with the bases loaded, Brandon King knocked a double to left field to bring two runs home and expand the run to four runs. Nate Goro followed with a two-run double of his own, giving the Golden Hurricane a 7-1 advantage. Two at-bats later, Cam Schiller hit the second home run of the inning to put the Golden Eagles up 9-1.

Tulsa will take nearly a week off before heading to Tuscaloosa, Ala. for the Alabama Classic, opening the tournament at 1 p.m. against Louisville.
