Oologah Couple Arrested On Child Abuse Injury Complaints

An Oologah woman and her boyfriend were booked into the Rogers County jail on complaints of child abuse by injury and permitting injury to a child.

Rogers County Sheriff's deputies and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services were notified by an Oologah daycare center on Tuesday of a child who had been dropped off with a black eye and severe bruising on her buttocks and the back of both legs.

The girl told daycare workers she had fallen and hit her eye.

The daycare told DHS that Ashley Hamil, 24, and Dustin Jones, 23, had dropped off the girl and two other children at the center.

DHS removed the children from the daycare and placed them into protective custody.

Deputies arrested both Hamil and Jones and took them to jail. Both bonded out of jail on Wednesday.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
