A resource for aging Tulsa-area adults has a new location. OASIS Adult Daycare held its grand opening at their new home on Monday.
"We have just been blessed with this beautiful new facility, and we wanted to share it with everyone," said Executive Director Martha Rains.
The facility relocated after 16 years at 38th and Lewis. Its new location is at 5525 East 51st Street in the Park Place Office Building.
"We mainly specialize in persons with Alzheimer's and those older adults that have disabilities or problems that don't allow them to be staying home safely by themselves," Rains said.
OASIS provides daytime programming including socialization, supervision and help with personal care like medication management, bathing and hairdressing services.
Rains said they were delighted to find a building with a "green space," an interior courtyard area where clients can enjoy the outdoors.
The new location is also "very user friendly" and handicapped accessible.
Funding for OASIS' new home was provided in part by SouthSide Christian Church.
