A Bartlesville man is facing an animal cruelty charge after setting a mouse on fire outside his home.

Bartlesville Police got the call Wednesday evening to Bradley Valdez's home in the 300 of West 8th Street after they got a call about someone setting an animal on fire and watching it run down the street.

After arriving at the home, Police located the dead mouse.

In papers filed with the Washington County court, police say Valdez admitted to lighting the large mouse on fire and "watching it run down the street."

Officers say Valdez kept telling them it was "no big deal" and "it's just a mouse."

Valdez was arrested and taken to the Washington County jail.  Bond in the case is set at $15,000.
