A driver has been taken into custody following a collision that injured a Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputy and her husband. The hit-and-run wreck took place at 6:30 a.m. Saturday near Owasso.

An off-duty Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputy and her husband were driving westbound on 86th Street North. A law enforcement officer at the scene told News On 6 the sheriff's deputy was behind the wheel, however; further investigation proved that the husband was driving his wife to work.

A pickup truck driver ran the stop sign at Memorial and hit their vehicle in the right rear panel. The deputy's sedan went into a spin and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels.

The pickup truck driver continued south on Memorial for a short time and then turned around, taking off northbound.

Both the female deputy and her husband were treated and released at a local hospital.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper spotted the driver Saturday and made the arrest.
