A 77-year-old Hallett man is dead after crashing his car into tree Tuesday afternoon.

A 77-year-old Hallett man is dead after crashing his car into tree Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on the northbound lanes of Highway 99 in Pawnee County

According to an accident report, Charles Osbourne was killed when his 1996 Doge Neon left the road and hit a tree. 

Osbourne was pinned inside his car for more than an hour before crews were able to get to him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicle was involved, according to the report.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating what caused the crash.
