Tulsa Police have recovered a stolen pickup that was the center of an Amber Alert Friday night. Police had been searching for the Ford F-150 after it was stolen – with two small children inside.

The two girls were reunited with their parents late Friday after one was left on a Tulsa doorstep and the other at a Catholic Church.

Police are processing the truck for fingerprints and other evidence, according to Sergeant John Adams with the Tulsa Police Department. They believe it was dumped sometime Saturday morning.

Tulsa Police launched a massive search effort when the Amber Alert went out shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Sergeant Adams said that many off-duty officers heard the alert and came in to help. In these cases, Adams said, there is a three-hour window in which children are most likely found alive.

The thief left both girls outside in the freezing temperatures. Five-month-old Zayveah Brown was left on the porch of a home in the 2400 block of East Newton Street.

The truck was found within a mile of that location, Adams said.

The second child, 1-year-old Sariah Brown, was left in some bushes outside St. Francis Xavier Church in the 2400 block of East Admiral. Two church youth members found the little girl outside in the freezing temperatures.

They are still looking for the suspect, described as a short, heavyset Hispanic male who was wearing a gray jacket or jumpsuit.
