A News On 6 photojournalist was surprised when his SUV was pelted with eggs early Sunday morning. The overnight photographer was driving on Lewis at 30th Street at 2:40 a.m. when he and his company-owned vehicle fell victim to the prank.
Photojournalist Bill Aycock immediately stopped the SUV to look for the pranksters. He believes the eggs were thrown from the top floor of a two-story residence.
Police were called to the scene, and Sergeant Thomas Bell noted that pranks like egging a moving vehicle can result in collisions.
Although Aycock saw people moving behind blinds in upstairs rooms of the house, no one answered the door when police knocked.
Three vehicles parked in front of the residence were ticketed for parking the wrong way on the street.
