TULSA, Oklahoma – Monday was a night of season and career bests for the Golden Eagles as they rolled over IPFW 102-62.
A fast paced game gave ORU its third straight win and plenty of inflated stats look back on.
Jordan Pyle put up a season-high 25 points (one short of her career high), tying for game-best honors with Kevi Luper. Luper also picked up eight steals, which was a season-high in that category for her.
Freshman forward Bernadett Balla had career highs in four different categories with 18 points, nine rebounds, four steals and four blocks.
IPFW struggled at the offensive end, and remarkably didn't hit a two-point field goal until 45 seconds into the second half. ORU led 46-22 at the break.
The Golden Eagles did their usual work in the turnover category, forcing 33 from the Mastodons and leading to plenty of fast break opportunities.
IPFW was playing without leading scorer Stephanie Rosado and Anne Boese led the Mastodons with 13 points. They shot 32 percent in the game.
Meanwhile ORU was a scorching 59.3 percent from the field, its highest mark of the season.
IPFW fell to 7-13 (4-5 Summit League) with the loss. The Golden Eagles improved to 13-7 (7-2) and will host UMKC at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday. ORU legend Krista Ragan will have her jersey retired in a ceremony during the game.
