It might not feel like winter today, but Tulsa County leaders want to make sure your home is ready when the temperatures drop again.
The Tulsa County Commissioners have teamed up with members of the United Community Action Program to help folks winterize their homes.
That includes replacing broken windows and doors, adding insulation and caulking to keep the cold out.
Amanda Griffin says it'll make a big difference to people like her.
"It gives me a chance to keep my son from getting sick in the winter and keep my mom from getting sick, being a little bit more warmer and saving electricity and all that, saving money on bills."
Besides winterizing homes, Tulsa County Commissioner Karen Keith teamed up with GUTS church and the Metropolitan Environmental Trust to clean up this neighborhood.
Amanda Griffin says there are some people who still have damage from the ice storm back in 2007!
Crews will help people clear brush and debris, get rid of clutter and recycle old stuff.
You can call 918-762-3041 if you want to learn more about the winterization program.
