A volunteer with the Broken Arrow Soccer Club is a regional winner of the 2011 Youth Soccer Volunteer of the Year award.
According to the news release, Keith Ash has held every board position with Broken Arrow Soccer Club. He is seen on weekends on the fields filling holes, fixing nets and securing fields. Ash has also served as president of Green Country Soccer Association and continues to lend his passion and expertise to grow the sport in eastern Oklahoma.
US Youth Soccer says this award honors the extraordinary accomplishments in volunteering and giving back to the game of soccer.
The Volunteer of the Year Award honors the extraordinary accomplishments in volunteering and giving back to the game of soccer over a lifetime.
The release goes on to say Ash's seemingly endless volunteer hours provide players a fun environment in which to play.
The national Volunteer of the Year will be announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards on Friday, February 17, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts.
