Eleven-Year-Old Tulsa Cooking Sensation To Be Honored Friday

An 11-year-old Tulsa girl, Chef Remmi Smith will be officially named Sodexo's first ever National Student Ambassador to Health and Nutrition.

A Tulsa Public elementary school will be honored Friday morning with Sodexo's first-ever Delivering Wellness Award.

The award recognizes Bell Elementary School's work in promoting nutrition education, healthy lifestyle habits and physical activity.

In addition, an 11-year-old Tulsa girl, Chef Remmi Smith will be officially named Sodexo's first ever National Student Ambassador to Health and Nutrition.

Sodexo says in her new role, Chef Remmi will work closely with Sodexo to help students nationally get excited about nutrition and health.

In a news release, Sodexo's says she will also work with Sodexo chefs in over 500 school districts throughout the country to give a student's perspective.

Following the ceremony, Bell Elementary students will have a chance to meet Chef Remmi and see a cooking demonstration.
