A whole bunch of baby supplies will soon be headed for Africa, thanks to the students at Oral Roberts University's nursing program.
The idea for the "Baby Shower For Ghana" came while students were visiting the country on a mission trip last year.
At the end of this month, ORU plans to head back there and take supplies that parents here take for granted every day.
The volunteers say this experience has changed their lives forever.
"It's an immensely emotional experience for the students, and they see how the simple things that we teach them, makes a big difference to these people," said Patricia Catts, ORU assistant professor.
The baby shower will be next week at ORU.
If you want to help, send gifts or checks to Oral Roberts University, Anna Vaughn College of Nursing, c/o Georgia White, 7777 South Lewis, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74171.
If writing a check, please put "Baby Shower For Ghana" in the memo line.
