Osage County Sheriff's Office Deputy Dies

The Osage County Sheriff's Office says one of their deputies died unexpectedly on New Year's Day, January 1, 2012. Sergeant John Paul King Baron died of natural causes, according to Undersheriff LouAnn Brown.

The sheriff's office's Facebook page says Sergeant Baron had been a deputy since 2009. 

Baron leaves behind his wife Nikki and daughter, Desi.

Baron's funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hart Funeral Home at 1506 North Grand in Tahlequah.
