TU's Kevin Fitzpatrick Named C-USA Player of the Week

For the fifth week in a row a Tulsa football player has been honored by the conference—this week on special teams.

For the fifth week in a row, a University of Tulsa football player has received Conference Player of the Week honors and this week's award goes to kicker Kevin Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick, who is the placekicker and punter received the conference honor after a perfect game of kicking three-for-three field goals against Houston.

The senior from Jensen Beach, Florida scored 10 of the Golden Hurricane's 16 points that game. He also tied his career-long with a 52-yard kick to give Tulsa a 10-6 lead in the first quarter. He also made field goals of 36 and 51 yards.

Fitzpatrick also punted six times that game for a career-best 46.5 average and a career-long 59-yarder. His five kickoffs also totaled 69 yards and three touchbacks.

The conference award is the first of this season for Fitzpatrick and the second of his career as he received the same honors in 2010.
