CHECOTAH, Oklahoma -- Two people were killed and one person injured after a car slammed into a bridge pylon north of Checotah.
The Thanksgiving day crash happened around 1 p.m. on Highway 69.
Troopers say the four door sedan was heading northbound, when for an unknown reason, left the highway and slammed into the concrete pylon.
The impact scattered debris throughout the immediate area. Troopers say the pylon didn't appear to have been damaged.
The names of the victims have not been released, but the two who were killed are described as a man and a woman in their mid-30s.
