TULSA, Oklahoma -- The City of Tulsa is answering Governor Fallin's call to help feed Oklahoma's hungry. Monday, Mayor Bartlett used Halloween to kick off a food drive at city hall to scare away hunger.
Oklahomans are encouraged to give what they can between now and November 22nd. And if you need a little inspiration, just listen to Jordan. He experienced the community's compassion first-hand during the 2007 ice storm
"So we went to the church and they gave us shelter, beds, and blankets, and a place to stay until the ice storm passed. And when we did... when we got home, we were so blessed," Jordan said.
Jordan is now trick-or-treating for canned food instead of candy.
