A Mild Monday

Expect another very nice day with sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s.  The weather will also be nice Tuesday before a system arrives mid week.

A little disclaimer:  It was not my idea to wear a costume on air today during the second half of the 7AM hour.  You'll need to take a peak.  DVR it if your heading to school or work early this morning.  

Our next weather maker will be arriving Wednesday afternoon and evening bringing a chance of showers back to the region.  Before this system arrives, we're in store for some very nice weather including highs today in the lower or even mid 70s in some locations.  

Halloween prime time tonight will be in the 60s with southeast breezes around 10 mph and no rain.  The kids will love it, and so will the parents who should accompany their children for festivities tonight. 

The timing of the front continues to "speed up" comparing run to run from the NAM.

I think this is probably correct and I'm planning on a frontal passage between 3pm-4pm Wednesday for the Tulsa metro.  This means the highs will be reached around noon to 2pm in the upper 60s with temps falling into the lower and mid 50s by 5pm to 6pm Wednesday along with increasing northwest winds during the afternoon.   

The mid week system will be followed by another batch of cold air with Thursday morning readings in the lower to mid 30s and afternoon highs in the 50s. 

The EURO and GFS both hint at another system approaching by Saturday bringing a chance of showers or storms to the state.  We're focused on the Wednesday system, but will try to work on some timing issues for the second system and post updates later this morning or early tomorrow morning. At this point, we'll keep a 20% pop for Saturday evening into Sunday morning with a minor cool down.
