TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- In Tahlequah, the Cherokee Nation's new principal chief is wasting no time getting down to business.
Less than 24 hours after Bill John Baker was sworn into office, he moved into the Tribal Complex.

Thursday morning, he met with senior staff and brought in a management firm to help figure out the best way to improve the structure of tribal leadership.
Baker says he doesn't want to lose any time getting a handle on the daily workings of the Cherokee government.
