Rogers County Sex Offender Arrested For Failing To Register

A Rogers County man was arrested Monday for failing to register as a sex offender.

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- A Rogers County man was arrested Monday for failing to register as a sex offender.

Micheal Ray Phillips, 55, was convicted of child rape in 1990 in the state of Washington. In 1996, Phillips moved to Rogers County but failed to register as a sex offender, according to the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

Phillips told deputies he didn't know that he was supposed to register with the state.

Phillips was booked into the Rogers County Jail.
