Tulsa Alliance Holds Forum On Proposed Changed To City Charter

A Tulsa alliance is holding a forum to discuss upcoming ballot questions including the addition of three additional "at large" council positions and a change to a city manager form of government.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- On November 8, 2011, Tulsa voters will decide several major issues, including a possible change to a city manager form of government.

One Tulsa alliance is holding a forum to discuss the ballot issues including the addition of three additional "at large" council positions, a return to two-year terms for councilors and the change to a city manager form of government.

Speakers will address the pros and cons of the changes to the city charter.

Speakers include Tulsa City Councilors Bill Christiansen and G.T. Bynum, Leonard Eaton of "Save Our Tulsa" and Greg Bledsoe of "Tulsans Defending Democracy."

The luncheon and program sponsored by All Souls Day Alliance will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011. The forum is expected to begin at about 12:25 p.m.

The lunch will cost $8. For reservations, call Jan Mattinson at 918-496-3633. Those planning to only attend the forum do not need to make reservations.
