University Of Tulsa Opens Cutting Edge Concert Hall

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A cutting edge concert hall opened at the University of Tulsa. TU proudly showed off its new Lorton Performance Center Friday.

The first-rate hall has been in the works for 40 years and fills a need desperately lacking on campus.

"Has been described by some as being comparable to a European opera house in terms of its feel and appearance. And it's a lovely facility," said David Hamby of the University of Tulsa.

The Lorton Center will become home to TU's music, film studies, and musical theater departments.
