TULSA, Oklahoma -- The 2011 Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic is underway now at Tulsa's Expo Square. The Labor Day Weekend event started Wednesday and runs through Sunday, September 4.
The highlight of the weekend, The Tulsa Reining Cup and USEF National Championship, is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer will broadcast live from the competition Thursday night.
The reining classic is a big money event luring elite competitors from the U.S. and world scene.
A new offering this year is the Developing Horse Futurity which offers riders a chance to develop young horses in a competitive setting.
The competition begins each day at 9 a.m.
