TULSA, Oklahoma -- Police believe a tank of nitrous oxide may have played a role in an overnight Tulsa wreck. Witnesses say a red Camaro was drag racing down Harvard at 26th Street at about 2:20 a.m. when the driver lost control and went off the road.
The vehicle took out a bus stop bench, two signs and a light pole.
"Speed is definitely a factor," said Tulsa Police Sergeant Gary Otterstrom. "Apparently the vehicle is equipped with nitrous oxide. That may have played a part in this vehicle losing control and running off the road."
The driver took off before police arrived.
"We have no injuries reported and no description of the driver," Otterstrom said.
