TULSA, Oklahoma -- Seven area chambers of commerce team up to grow the local economy. Representatives from the Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, and Owasso chambers signed an agreement Friday.
Their goal is to jointly compete on a global scale for talent, investments, and jobs.
"We simply no longer can compete as individual cities. We really are part of a mega-region which really competes against other regions across this country - other metropolitan areas," said Tulsa Chamber President Mike Neal.
Their compact includes cooperation both economic development and legislative agendas.
