Convenience Store Robbery Puts Tulsa School On Lockdown

An early morning robbery at a Tulsa Kum-N-Go forced a nearby school on lockdown.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Monday morning robbery at a Tulsa Kum-N-Go forced a nearby school on lockdown.

Tulsa Police say two men robbed the manager of the convenience store located at 101st Street and Mingo just after 9:00 a.m.

The victim was leaving to take a cash deposit to the bank when the two armed suspects demanded the cash bag.

The two men then took the victim's cell phone and ran away on foot into a nearby neighborhood.

A Tulsa Union Public elementary school, Cedar Ridge at 9617 South Mingo, was placed on lockdown as officers patrolled the neighborhood.
