1 chicken, 4 to 5 pounds
1 c chopped celery
1 c sliced onion
Amish Kitchen Pot Pie Noodles (or a substitute, packed or homemade)
Place chicken in pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for five minutes. Turn off burner and cover pot. Let the chicken steep in the water for 30 minutes.
Season with salt to taste.
Remove chicken from pot. Debone and cube. Add chopped celery and diced onion and bring to a boil.
Add noodles (packaged or homemade) about 30 minutes before serving time.
