TULSA, Oklahoma – Most schools in Green Country have spent the last two weeks taking snow day after snow day. And because of the bad weather, National Signing Day got a little lost. Even though a lot of players have already submitted letters of intent, most schools have postponed their signing day festivities.
However, now that the snow is melting, the signing ceremonies are underway. And the first school to hold their signing event was Bishop Kelley.
On Friday afternoon, the Comets had 12 athletes sign with colleges. One of the biggest names in the group was Alex Powell, who signed to play football at Princeton.
Here is the entire list of players who signed at Bishop Kelley:
Alex Powell – Princeton (football)
Briggs Westby – Pittsburg State (football)
Stephen Foster – Coffeyville Community College (baseball)
Cameron O’Brien – Louisville (baseball)
Jake O’Brien – Neosho County Community College (baseball)
Mark Henry – John Brown University (soccer)
Matt Henry – John Brown University (soccer)
Max Moeller – Rutgers (soccer)
Robert Williams – Benedictine College (soccer)
Sarah Duffy – Drury University (soccer)
Madi Susmilch – John Brown University (soccer)
Amy Richardson – University of Tulsa (rowing)
After the signing event, Alex Powell and Cameron O’Brien took a few minutes to talk to Oklahoma Sports. Each of their interviews is in the video on this page.
