EDMOND, Oklahoma—Edmond Santa Fe's Courtney Walker scored 41 points to lead Edmond Santa Fe to a 68-65 win over rival Edmond Memorial. With the win, Santa Fe improved to 16-0 on the season.
The Wolves were on the ropes early, as Memorial led by as much as sixteen points in the 2nd quarter.
Santa Fe cut it to 29-20 at half, and trailed all of the third quarter but cut it to 36-42 at the beginning of the 4th.
Walker took over in the 4th, scoring 15 points in the final period, matching the entire Memorial score total in the 4th.
But with 14 seconds left and Santa Fe with a one point lead, Walker made one of two free throws giving her team a 57-55 lead.
Memorial would work down the clock looking for a shot, but with 3.0 seconds left Santa Fe fouled Alyssa Hand. Hand would calmly step up to the line and sink two free throws to tie it all up at 57 and send the game to overtime.
Santa Fe would go up 60-57 after Walker's made free throws, but Memorial's Sydney Hill was fouled on a made bucket. She made the free throw and tied it all back up at 60.
Walker then sank a 3 from the wing that would give Santa Fe the lead for good.
Alie Decker hit a three with 10 seconds left to cut Santa Fe's lead to one, 66-65, but after two Santa Fe made free throws and 6.9 seconds left Memorial could not respond and Santa Fe would hold on for the win.
Alie Decker scored 22 for the Lady Bulldogs, and Sydney Hill added 19.
