Millwood Girls Cruise Past Stillwater With 20-Point Win

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – The Millwood girls’ basketball team used a big second-quarter run to build an insurmountable lead and coast to a 65-45 win over Stillwater in the Titan Classic Friday.

Both teams started the game with sloppy play and combined to score just four total points in the first three minutes. They traded blows through the rest of the first quarter and the beginning of the second, when Millwood led 17-16.

From that point forward, the Falcons took over.

Millwood went on a 12-0 run to take a 13-point lead and never looked back. Stillwater drew within seven points in the third quarter, but the Falcons used another run to put the game out of reach.

Millwood will now move on to the semifinal of the Titan Classic, where it will face the winner of the late game between Midwest City and Douglass. Stillwater will face the loser of that same game.
