TULSA, Oklahoma – Over the last week, the University of Tulsa football team has undergone some big changes. With head coach Todd Graham going to Pitt and offensive coordinator Chad Morris going to Clemson, there were a lot of questions about the Golden Hurricane.
One of the biggest questions involved TU’s recruiting class. One of their top recruits is Holland Hall running back/wide receiver Kwame Sexton.
Oklahoma Sports had a chance to sit down with Kwame on Friday morning, just a few hours before Tulsa introduced Bill Blankenship as their new head coach.
Kwame said he has a relationship with Blankenship and that him becoming head coach of the Golden Hurricane could help his chances of staying committed to TU. Kwame also said he has not heard from Coach Graham or anyone else who left Tulsa for Pittsburgh.
Sexton did have one other offer originally from the University of Illinois. He says these coaching moves have gotten him to think about this decision a little more. But, he says he’s excited to go through this recruiting process and is excited to sign his letter of intent on February 2nd.
