Carl Albert Holds off Duncan to Win in Overtime
The Titans surrendered an 18-point lead before topping the Demons in overtime.

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- The Carl Albert Titans topped the Duncan Demons in overtime 30-27 to advance to the Class 5A quarterfinals.
The Titans jumped out to a 21-3 lead at the half, but Duncan responded in the second half to force overtime.
Demons running back Brandon Wilson scored from five yards out in the third quarter to close the gap to 11 points.
Carl Albert tacked on another field goal, but Duncan’s Jordan Laskey tacked on a 15-yard touchdown to 24-17. After the Titans had to punt, Wilson scored his second touchdown of the second half – this one from 18 yards out – to tie the game 24-24 and force overtime.
Duncan tacked on a field goal in the first overtime, but Carl Albert quarterback ran it in from six yards out to advance to the second round.
The Titans will travel to Tulsa to take on the East Central Cardinals at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 19.
