Midwest City Battles to Beat Norman North

The Bombers finish undefeated in 6A-1 and take the district champions title.

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA—Midwest City battled back to beat Norman North and remain undefeated in regular season play with a final score of 33-17.

Midwest City started the scoring but Norman North answered with 30 seconds left in the first quarter tying the game at 7-7.

Norman North surged in the second to go up 14-7 but just a few plays later MWC answered with a long pass from senior quarterback Greg Austin to Cortrael Colbert who caught it at the 20 yard line and took it all the way in for the touchdown tying the game again at 14-14.

Norman North( (3-7, 2-5) kicked a field goal to go up 17-14 midway through the third quarter, but the Bombers got on a roll and the Timberwolves couldn’t keep up.

Midwest City finishes with a perfect regular season record of 10-0 an 7-0 in district 6A-1. The district champs will now face Westmoore (5-5, 4-3) at 7:30 inside Jim Darnell Stadium on Nov. 12.
