TULSA, Oklahoma – The Coweta Tigers finished their season on a five-game winning streak, capped by a 49-9 win over the Thomas Edison Eagles Friday.
The Tigers (8-2, 6-1) lost only one game in district a play, a three-point game on the road against district champion East Central. Coweta’s offense finished the year strong, scoring more than 35 points in three of its final four games.
Edison (2-8, 1-6) was on the opposite end of the spectrum this season, and finished the year on a four-game losing streak.
Coweta’s win secured the No. 2 district seed, and the Tigers will host Bishop Kelley in the first round next week.
