EDMOND, Oklahoma – Though Edmond North and Edmond Santa Fe’s battle wasn’t for the city title, it still held a lot of importance as the Huskies came out on top with a 17-10 victory.
Santa Fe got off to a quick start, kicking a field goal and then adding a three-yard touchdown run from Ty Hensley to go up 10-0 in the second quarter.
North responded with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Travis Townsend to Kyle Aschenbrenner to cut the Wolves’ lead to 10-7 at the half.
But the Huskies dominated the second half, shutting Santa Fe out and connecting again through the air, this time to Garret Molinsky to make it 14-0.
A 20-yard field goal gave the Huskies their final 17-10 score.
Edmond North (4-5, 3-3) will head to U.S. Grant to take on the Generals next week while Santa Fe (1-8, 1-5) will host Putnam City North.
