GUTHRIE, Oklahoma – The Guthrie Blue Jays remained undefeated in district play Friday with a 16-0 victory over the El Reno Indians.
The Blue Jays (7-1, 5-0) recorded their third shutout of the season and their second in the last three weeks. Guthrie is in prime position to finish first in its district, having already beaten the two teams tied for second place – Carl Albert and Deer Creek.
The loss is the fourth straight for El Reno (2-6, 1-4) and drops the Indians out of the playoff race. They will face Southeast (3-5, 0-5) next week, while Guthrie will play Western Heights (2-6, 2-3).
