SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma – The Sand Springs Sandites picked up their first win of the season, knocking off Ponca City 35-28 on Thursday.

The Wildcats had only picked up one win of their own against Stillwater two games before.

Ponca City led 20-7 at halftime before Sand Springs mounted a furious comeback.

Sand Springs (1-7, 1-5) will travel to Owasso next week to take on the Rams.

The Wildcats (1-7, 1-3) will head to Bixby.
