OKLAHOMA CITY -- After dropping their first game in district play, the Kingfisher Yellowjackets rebounded Friday with a 32-17 win over the John Marshall Bears.
The Yellowjackes (4-1, 1-1) offense got back in the swing of things against the Bears. After being held under 32 points for the first time this season a week ago, Kingfisher was once again able to top the five-score mark.
John Marshall (2-3, 0-2) was a big story a season ago after making the playoffs after two winless seasons, but the Bears have been unable to gain momentum this season as they have scored 17 or fewer points in their last four matchups.
Kingfisher will try to build momentum next week at home against Seeworth Acaemy, while John Marshall will try to earn their first district win at Oklahoma Centennial.
