Nowata's Austin Beck committed to play at Arkansas Saturday. The Ironmen offensive lineman took a trip to Fayetteville over weekend, which caused him to pull the trigger.
"Me and my dad have been thinking about doing it," Beck said. So we did it today in (head coach Bobby) Petrino's office."
The 6-foot-8, 300-pounder held offers from Baylor, Illinois and Missouri. Beck said he committed because of a special feeling about the Razorbacks.
"This place is going places," Beck said. "And the facilities (are good). The recruits they're getting and their coaches are great I think."
Beck played offensive and defensive tackle for the Ironmen, as well as linebacker, fullback and special teams on occasion. Beck said he will play defensive tackle for the Hogs.
