TULSA, Oklahoma – Top-ranked Midwest City beat Norman for the fourth time this season with a 46-32 victory in the 6A girls state basketball championship on Saturday.

Richa Jackson led the Lady Bombers in the scoring column with a double-digit effort, while Jordan Franks led with the Lady Tigers with 10. Norman's Kamra King, who scored 33 points in the Lady Tigers' semifinal win on Friday, left with a second half injury.

The game was close in the opening minutes, as the teams traded baskets. Midwest City took a 12-11 in to the second quarter with the help of Jackson, who scored seven points in the opening period.

The Lady Bombers extended that lead to 20-11 with a 8-0 run in the first four minutes of the second quarter. Jordan Franks hit two free throws to give Norman its first points of the period with 3:41 remaining, but it was all Midwest City after that point. The Lady Bombers finished the half on a 10-2 run and went in to the break on top 30-15.

Norman never really challenged Midwest City in the second half as the Lady Bombers cruised to their second state title in school history. Midwest City’s other state championship came in 1992.
