AMBER-POCASSET, Oklahoma – The Hydro-Eakly boys took down Amber-Pocasset 43-38 Thursday to move on in the Class A regional tournament.
The game stayed close from start to finish, with Eakly taking a three-point lead into halftime. Pocasset fought back to retake the lead late in the game, but Dylan King’s bucket with less than three minutes remaining gave Eakly a lead it would not relinquish.
King led all scorers with 23 points and scored 13 and of Eakly’s 16 first-half points. Kyler Nichols led Pocasset with 13, and Josh Jackson added 12.
The win advances Eakly to the regional finals on Saturday, while Pocasset will drop to the loser’s bracket and play again Friday.
