TULSA, Oklahoma – Edison overcame an early deficit against East Central and held off the Cardinals on Senior Night, 62-50.

Steven Hamilton led the way for Eagles with 16 points. Tharone Fitzgerald scored a game-high 18 for the Cardinals.

East Central silenced the Eagle faithful early by starting the game on an 11-3 run. Edison regained its composure as the period went on, though, and closed the gap to seven at the end of the period.

The first three minutes of the second quarter belonged to the Eagles, who started the period on a 10-0 run. Edison took the lead on a Desmond Butler lay-up and went into the break with a 29-25 lead.

The Eagles held their lead throughout the second half and eventually pulled way for a double-digit victory.

The Eagles honored seniors Butler, Creed Flowers, Clyde Hill, and B.J. Palmer prior to the game.
