GLENPOOL, Oklahoma -- His mom did it, his aunt did it and Isaac Maselera is on track to continue one big family tradition. Isaac will attend Oklahoma State but he will be more than just another student. The Glenpool defensive back gave his commitment to the Cowboys in October and the family affair was a big reason why he decided on OSU so early.
“My mom went there my aunt went there and I always grew up an OSU fan,” Maselera said. “I loved it their facilities are amazing and everything is really good. The coaches are really cool.”
Maselera currently plays safety for the Warriors. At 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, he could play safety or cornerback at the next level, but Maselera has his sights set on becoming a headhunter.
“I’d like to play safety,” Maselera said. “I like to come downhill and tackle people. Corners don’t get to do a whole lot of tackling.”
Maselera holds an offer from Tulsa and has heard from Oregon, Stanford and Arizona. He plans to attend the Golden Hurricane’s Junior Day Feb. 13 as well as OSU’s event the following week.
