DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Pint-size Meagan Henson is a big asset to the Christian Heritage Crusaders. The senior is averaging over 20 points a game, helping to earn her team a perfect 20-0 record this season.
"She's incredible. She leads by example. But probably one of the most humble good players I have ever been around. The attitude which she brings to practice every day, willing to make changes just her coachablity has been great and also an example," head coach Lisa LittleJim said.
Standing at only five feet, Henson is usually the smallest player on the hardwood but her explosiveness and skill sets her apart from her taller teammates and opponents.
"She has great ball control, game knowledge, savvy, just the whole nine yards. She's going to run the ball out for us unless something very unseen happens," LittleJim said.
Meagan committed to play for TCU when she was just a freshman, a school she said she’s always wanted to play for.
"I grew up in Fort Worth and so I've always gone to their games and I thought I always wanted to go to that school,” Henson said. “I knew the coach personally, I knew his character, just thought it would be a good move for me.”
So with a D-1 offer already in the bag, there is just one thing left for Meagan to do.
"State Tournament...yeah," Henson said.
