Catoosa Rebounds Against Berryhill

The Indians came into the contest on a three-game losing streak, but took down the Chiefs.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Catoosa recovered from an 0-3 performance in the Port City Classic with a 61-56 win over Berryhill on Monday.

Catoosa junior Braeden Beer led all players with 23 points. Branden Haynes and Jake Magness also reached double digits for the Indians with 16 and 12 respectively.

The Indians came out firing in the first quarter and held a commanding 22-9 lead at the end of the period.

After Catoosa extended its lead to 15 in the second quarter, Berryhill cut the deficit to 11 and went into the half down 29-17.

The Chiefs would cut the lead to single digits, but fell short in the end. Nick Lyman led Berryhill with 20 points.

Both teams return to the court on Friday. The Indians will look to continue their winning ways at Bishop Kelly, while the Chiefs travel to Oologah.
