Daniel Webster Hires New Head Coach

Don Gibson from Tulsa Central is slated to take over for the Warriors.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Daniel Webster has hired Tulsa Central coach Don Gibson to become their new head football coach.

Gibson played at the University of Tulsa in 2001 and 2002 before becoming the defensive backs coach at the University of Western Georgia.

“It’s an exciting time,” Gibson said in a press release. “I think it’s a tremendous opportunity and I look forward to it. With the kids Webster has, we can do something very special.”

The Warriors finished the 2009 season 3-7, including a three-game losing streak to close out district play.
