TULSA, Oklahoma -- Top-ranked Cascia Hall continued to roll through its schedule Friday night with a 48-0 win over the Dewey Bulldoggers.
The Commandos struck early and often. Cascia Hall (7-0, 5-0) scored 27 points in the first half, which was capped off by a 29-yard touchdown run by Cet Caldwell.
The defense remained stout for the entire contest as the Commandos posted their second shutout of the season. The 48-0 victory also marked the fifth time in seven games that Cascia Hall has held its opponents below double digits. The defensive effort was particularly impressive considering that Dewey (5-3, 3-2) had won three straight games by a combined score of 169-7.
Cascia Hallis now just two wins away from a perfect regular season. The Commandos have a significant test next week, however, as they travel to playClaremore-Sequoyah (7-1). The Eagles won at Blackwell Friday night, 55-8.
Despite the loss, Dewey remains in the playoff chase and will look to strengthen its postseason credentials at home next week against Perkins-Tryon (4-4).
